The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, provides operating support to the Arts Commission of Danville/Boyle County with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Double your donation dollars!

Because we recognize the role of the arts in creating a desirable place to live, the Arts Commission of Danville/Boyle Co. works diligently to integrate the arts locally. That comes with a cost, as does most everything that improves our lives. It’s always a struggle for non-profits like us to raise funds. We depend on membership dollars, donations, and grants to continue creating opportunities for local visual and performing artists to develop and share their talents and for residents to enjoy them here at home.

That’s why we have decided to become part of the 2016 GoodGiving Challenge. From 9 am on November 29th until 11:59 pm on December 31st, we’ll engage in a fundraising event through Blue Grass Community Foundation and Smiley Pete Publishing. During that window, we’ll ask our community to support us by renewing memberships or by making tax-deductible donations that, when made via the official Challenge Web site, could be eligible for matching funds. All gifts must be made through the Web site.  The exciting thing about the Challenge is that if we reach specific levels of giving during the event, your dollars could increase”, said Mimi Becker, Arts Commission executive director. “It’s like turning $25 into $50!” Check our Web site (www.dbc-arts.org) and your email beginning November 29th for more information about the Challenge and how you can help us reach our goal of $7,500!  This year, some winning prize money will come as funds to be invested in an endowment which will ensure the Arts Commission remains on sound financial funding for the future.  After all, Arts are Vital!
