The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, provides operating support to the Arts Commission of Danville/Boyle County with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Grant to fund mentoring program received

We’re happy to announce the Arts Commission has been awarded one of only 15 grants given by the ArtsMatch program of the Louisville Fund for the Arts through the generous support of LG&E and the Jennifer Lawrence Fund. The 15 recipients are from across Kentucky and will offer a variety of unique arts programs.

Our program will match arts mentors with apprentices to create five teams for immersion in the study of their respective areas of interest and to develop skills necessary for growing a successful arts business in our community. This concept was submitted for consideration as part of our effort to build artists and the arts so that each person can participate however they aspire—personally and professionally!

You can be an everyday hero by helping ArtsMatch
to make it happen.
Your donation will be matched, $1 for $1!

What an impact that will make!

…and when you donate on line,
the Fund for the Arts will cover
the card fee. We’ll get every dollar
you donate, plus the matching funds,
until May 31.

You can also give by check.
