Arts Scholarship Program
The Arts Scholarship Program provides assistance to students, ages 3 to 18, who have demonstrated interest in any of the arts disciplines, but whose families do not have financial resources for expenses associated with specialized extra-curricular arts instruction or activities, such as fees, lesson books or artist materials. To be eligible, students must live or go to school (including home school) in Boyle County. Scholarships of up to $150 per child per year are awarded on the basis of verifiable financial need.
Since 2004 more than 100 scholarships have been awarded to enable children to participate in both visual and performing arts activities. Funds for the scholarship program come from the Arts Commission’s bi-annual ART-FULL RAFFLE or from private donations. Call 859-238-0063 for more information.
If you know a child who deserves supplemental funding (up to $150), to pursue an arts activity, please request a scholarship application by contacting Ann Nichols at 859-238-0063 or arts-dbc@hotmail.com. or download the application form as a PDF.
